Thank you for your interest in receiving information regarding offering a continuing nursing education program (CE). The University of Mississippi School of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Mississippi Nurses Foundation, Inc., an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Compliance with ANCC guidelines for Sponsors of Continuing Nursing Education and the Standards for Commercial Support of Continuing Nursing Education is not optional but required.
The School of Nursing Director of Continuing Nursing Education must be involved in program related activities from program inception to program end. The Mississippi Nurses Foundation, Inc. look to our CE office to document the means by which compliance with each criteria for accreditation is met. Your planning committee must comprise of a member of each healthcare discipline within your target audience. Contact this office or the Division of Continuing Health Professions to discuss your activity prior to completing these forms.
